Introduction and scope of AT-SGIRES
The main objective of the project is to provide a high-quality education for MENA students in the key aspects of Smart grid concept with the emphasis on its application and technology, therefore enabling them to take responsible, creative, challenging and stimulating posts in policy making, industry or research in this targeted field.
AUI involvement in the Project
In addition to taking part on various work packages, the AUI team is responsible for WP10 where it will develop a sustainability plan for the Centers and facilities and services to exist beyond the scope of the agreed funding period, strategies and methods to transform the centers into a self‐sustaining hub will be developed and gradually implemented. This will involve continuous evaluation of training programs and assessing which are most viable in addition to developing membership programs in a manner that can ensure sustainability.
