Master of Science in Computer NetworksMaster of Science in Computer Networks (MSCN) The Master of Science in Computer Networks (MSCN) program is designed to provide the student, through concentration courses, with expertise in designing, administering and securing computer networks. In addition, it gives the student sufficient breadth, through selected advanced elective courses, to quickly learn new technological developments. This 27 SCH program is designed to be completed in one calendar year. The requirements of the MSCN program consist of eight courses and a onesemester MS Project (3 SCH). The eight courses are divided into 4 concentration courses and 4 elective courses. The MS Project should be undertaken after finishing at least two courses in the concentration. The prerequisites required for the MSCN are the equivalent of CSC 3351 (Operating Systems), CSC 3352 (Computer Communications), and CSC 3353 (Computer Networks).
(Other courses may be added to this list upon approval.) Different courses from this list will be offered in different semesters. Course offerings are made to allow students to finish the MSCN program in one calendar year.
