About University Policy Unit (UPU)Taking account of audit, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, as well as risk management concerns, University recognizes the need to issue standardized policy documents. And to gradually move policies that exist in many forms, such as memorandums, manuals, and unwritten practices into formal numbered policies. Given the large numbers of policies that need to be shifted through this formal process, priority for selecting which policies are processed first is determined by the University Executives Officers at the University Executive meetings upon recommendation from different University units including the NEASC Accreditation Steering Committee.
The UPU is mandated to provide support for University units to develop policies, to manage the process of policy development, and to manage promulgated policies. Currently the University Policy Unit is headed by the Associate VP for IT and Research. |
