CAMP ACTIVITIES
On-Campus Activities
•Team-building games and outdoor activities (e.g., forest walks and explorations)
•Movies (classics, plus entertaining and educational films selected to reinforce English and key themes)
•Arts (painting, drawing, theater, dance, music)
•Athletics (basketball, swimming, tennis, and more)
•Competitive activities (between and within age groups, such as scavenger hunts, "color wars," and more)
•A family day with the campers and their parents
Off-Campus Activities:
•Camping day in the Al Akhawayn campus forest where the
campers will learn how to cook in nature, build a tent, build a campfire Treasure Hunt
•Excursions and community service (e.g., visits to local hospitals and orphanages, plus a special module on "Know Your City and Your Civics," with visits to Ifrane's government offices and town tour by P'tit Train)
•Clean-up campaign as part of the community service and environmental protection theme.
•Fun games in Al Akhawayn School of Ifrane (ASI)
•The first Sunday, camp counselors will visit the “Auberge Berber” to experience Moroccan food and Moroccan folklore, along with other activities in the Auberge.
•Weekend trip to Marrakech (for camp counselors)
Last day of camp: Friday, July 13
•Exhibits of campers’ produced art (paintings, pottery, etc.)
•Dance and music show by the campers
•Interested parents may attend Closing Dinner for camp counselors, parents and all camp organizers.
