June 8 On Thursday, June 8, at 11:00 there will be a Peace Pole Ceremony to honor AUI's efforts toward nurturing interfaith dialogue and encounter. A group of World Pilgrims -- Muslims, Christians, and Jews from Atlanta, Georgia, journeying together -- will come to AUI to present AUI with a peace pole, a monument they have offered to other institutions which promote understanding among persons of different faiths. The entire community is invited to be present for this event which will take place in the rock garden next to Building 17.
