Undergraduate Course Descriptions
Philosophy (PHI)
PHI 2301 Philosophical Thought 3(3-0)
This course is an introduction to Philosophy. It will examine
the principal themes of philosophical inquiry (e.g., metaphysics,
theory of knowledge, ethics, politics, aesthetics, etc.) from
both a historical and multicultural perspective. And insofar as
philosophy is central to human life, its history, in different
places, records the efforts of many to understand the world and
our place in it. The study of philosophy therefore contributes
to an understanding of some of the ideas that have shaped and
continue to shape human life, as well as teach one how to think
critically about it.
This is a University Core Curriculum Course for the BBA, BAIS, BACS, BSHRD,
BSGE, BSCSC, BSEMS
